What I experienced is that, first you need to fix yourself in terms of health for better productivity, then you should switch to any app, because on the first hand if you are ill, no app in the world would fix you.

So let’s start to fix yourself; you have to start self-enquiry, which is possible only when you give time to yourself. In other words, you sit silently for some time, analyzing your whole day in your mind, based on two parameters to enhance your productivity.

  • Energy wasting activities that makes me less productive
  • Activities that makes me more productive

Additionally, maintaining good health is essential. A balanced diet, regular exercise, and adequate sleep are foundational elements that support a productive lifestyle. For example, incorporating fruits and vegetables into your meals can enhance focus and energy levels throughout the day.

During this self-enquiry period, consider journaling your thoughts. Writing down your daily activities and reflections can provide clarity and help track patterns in your productivity, allowing for adjustments where necessary.

Now , You are asking me what are these activities

You already know champs,

Only problem is that you don’t aware of that , i will list them below ,comment me at bottom the post your energy draining activities

Energy wasting activities means the activities that are not align with our goals, since all we do is energy consuming , if i am writing this blog post it is also energy draining activity, but it align to my goal to create worthwhile platform to help people and on behalf of that i earn plenty of money . So this activity is not energy draining since i am creating worthwhile not wasting my energy.

Everyone has their own list of energy-draining activities; identifying yours is the first step toward change.

Identifying these activities requires honesty and introspection. Consider keeping a log for a week to track how much time you spend on various tasks. This will help you clearly see which activities are beneficial and which are not.

  • Binge watching Netflix, Cricket, Youtube , Instagram/Youtube reels
  • Masturbation , Sex
  • Talking with lots of friends
  • Partying with friends

Energy gaining activities means the activities that are align with our goals, since i have written all my goals on Notion goal section page so i know all my goals , having athletic body, soul feeding, getting a good rank in INICET exam ( after MBBS one has to give Pg exam to get college for MD degree)

so, for me Productive activities are :

For instance, if you find yourself endlessly scrolling through social media, reflect on how this impacts your mood and energy. Would you feel more fulfilled if that time were spent on a hobby or learning a new skill instead?

  • Blogging
  • Prayer
  • Exercise
  • Study ( self help books, academic books for exam)
  • Sleep
  • Eating a fresh food and quality food not processed food.

All the activities except this , is energy wasting for me .now you are saying that what about entertainment doing productive activities all day is boring, I have to watch Instagram, Pleasuring activities, I will cover it in next blog post why you don’t need it .

Examples of common distractions include scrolling through social media, binge-watching shows, or engaging in excessive chatting with friends. While these activities can be enjoyable, they often detract from more meaningful pursuits.

To become productive, you need to know your goal. Then, classify your activities into these two sections.

It is important to schedule time for relaxation and social interactions, but they should not overshadow your productive activities.

Unless you know where you are wasting your energy ,you can’t be productive.

In contrast, energy-gaining activities are those that reinforce your goals and aspirations. Engaging in exercises that improve your physical health, for example, not only boosts your energy but also sharpens your cognitive functions.

Word productive have different meaning

Reflecting on what activities recharge you can lead to a more fulfilling routine. By prioritizing activities like reading self-help or academic books, you invest in your personal development.

For a person: Getting a lot of meaningful work done.
Example: “She was very productive today and finished three chapters.”

For an activity: Leading to a useful or beneficial result.
Example: “The meeting was productive; we solved many issues.”

For land/factories/etc.: Being capable of producing a lot of goods or crops.
Example: “The farmland is highly productive.”

That’s for today

Final thought’s

Sit silent atleast for 30 min , reflect you day, classify your activities into two categories (energy wasting , Productive) ,everyone has different goals, i can’t exercise two much because i want decent looking body ,it becomes energy wasting for me since my goal isn’t becoming Mr. Olympia ,but for a person whose goal is to become Mr. Oympia ,this activity is productive.

Eating a balanced diet, filled with fresh and wholesome foods, plays a crucial role in maintaining energy levels. For instance, incorporating proteins, healthy fats, and whole grains can make a significant difference in how you feel throughout the day.

In addition to classifying activities, it may also be beneficial to set specific, measurable goals. This strategy helps in maintaining focus and assessing progress regularly, leading to increased motivation.

Identifying where you lose focus can be eye-opening. Consider setting a timer for tasks to see how long you genuinely dedicate to them. You might find that your perception of time spent on distractions is skewed.

Productivity is a personal journey. What works for one individual may not work for another. The key is to remain adaptable and open to trying new strategies as you evolve in your pursuits.

To wrap up, remember that productivity isn’t just about getting tasks done; it’s about aligning your actions with your goals. Regularly reviewing your activities will ultimately lead to a more productive and fulfilling life.
